We have a New Pope: Jorge Mario Cardinal Bergoglio (Pope Francis I)

I am happy to know that finally we have a new Pope to lead the 1.2 billion Catholics in the world. Though, I was kind of hoping that Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle would be the First Asian Pope but then again there are many things to consider and the conclave has done their job and elected the First Argentinean Pope Jorge Mario Cardinal Bergoglio.

The 266th Pope they say has a lot of things to do and to think leading the 1.2 billion Catholics in the world is very hard much because of the current controversies that the Church has been reported. In the meantime, let us pray that the new Pope will be able to do his duty to guide us eventually in the right path.

I think this is not going to be easy but let us support and pray for the Pope.

Because only the popes can enter the enclave, I have not read any exact description telling about how they vote inside. Is it based on popularity or who is the friendliest? I mean, they don’t know each other and they don’t meet really often so how can they choose who the next pope will be?

I think it’s way too early for Cardinal Tagle to be Pope. There’s still plenty of time, so much remains to be seen.

As for Pope Francis, he seems to be a modern one – and he may give the Church the breath of fresh air it so direly needs.

Nobody knew what was their system in choosing the next pope, until someone wrote a diary about what happened inside, I am still looking for that book to see how it is really done..

I am a Christian and I respect religion, but since I am an artist I always cling on more to culture and heritage of any person whether Muslim, Christian, Pagan, etc. Congrats to the new Pope of the Catholic Church.

I hope this one isn’t your typical bigoted homosexual hating sex abuse hiding douche of a pope. :)

Sorry, it’s just too many Catholics claim to be catholic when their actions speak otherwise!

Pope Francis has many challenges to face. However I see him as a strong and humble example. He takes a bus, he pays his own bill, etc.

If religion is used to unify and respect diversity then our Pope succeeded in his mission to spread the good word.
